Rehoming – Profile
Marley was signed over to us as his owner could not look after him anymore.
Behaviour observations on site:
We are seeking a special home for a very special boy; Marley has had an unsettled and rough life. We would love for him to find a retirement home where he can spend his last days. All Marley is looking for is a comfy bed and a blanket to cuddle up in.
Marley is a dodgery old boy who likes a short stroll (due too his weak back legs) with lots of sniffing. He is friendly towards other dogs if they aren’t to over the top and he spends most of his day sleeping on his bed.
Marley is believed to be going a little senile, partially sighted, and deaf, which means that he doesn’t always know you’re there. And can sometimes get spooked if you surprise him.
We all love and adore Marley here at the Ark and would hate for his last days to be spent in a kennel, which is why we are seeking an argent retirement home for him. Because of his age we are unaware how much time he does have left, which is something for new adopters to consider. Please help us find this sweet boy a home.

Due to Marley’s age, we are offering a reduced minimum donation of £50

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.
Medical history:
Marley has weak back legs and suffers from arthritis because of this he is on long term pain relief, Metacam and pardale. This is an estimated cost of £28 a month.
Marley has a small lump on his side, which the vets are not concerned about it.
Marley is also nearly completely deaf and believe he has some sight loss.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
