Rehoming – Profile
History:
Albie came into our care as a stray.
Behaviour observations on site:
Albie has come such a long way in such a short period of time. Understandably he was a little worried coming into the cattery environment but it didn’t take long to learn to trust the staff and volunteers and now he’s flourished into a chatty and affectionate boy. He is a massive foody so this is a great way to initially make friends with him.
Albie loves sitting out in his run on a sunny day and enjoying lots of fuss. Once he’s had enough he will wonder off to do his own thing, but it’s not long before he’s back wanting more attention! Albie has also started to show he has a playful side, he loves playing with feather stick toys and he really enjoys rolling around in some catnip.
Albie isn’t keen on using normal cat litter and prefers to toilet in either soil or play sand, we think this is because it’s what he’s used to using being a stray. His new owners would need to use these substrates in several litter trays around the home.
Albie does get quite apprehensive when he sees our feral cats wondering around outside so feel he would be best suited as an only pet. He needs an adult only home where his owners will understand when he wants to be fussed and when he needs some space.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
Medical history:
Albie is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. He has no known medical conditions.
4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Additional information:
Albie cannot be homed in Gosport.
