Rehoming – Profile

History:

Amber came into our care because her owner could no longer provide the care she needed.

Behaviour observations on site:

Amber was very scared when she first came into our care, she used both her inside and outside carrier as a safe space that she could go to if she felt a little unsure. It was quickly found that Amber loves her food and it helped her build a bond with the staff and volunteers. Amber can be slightly hand shy at times but once she has gained your trust she’s very affectionate and loves lots of gentle stokes. Now that she is familiar with staff and volunteers she is becoming more brave and will give you small headbutts and rubs around you for more fuss. Amber has a shy but loving personality and is quite sensitive to noises so she would love to have a relaxed home where she can be within human company.

Whilst being in our care Amber hasn’t shown interest in playing however this may change in a home environment once she’s built her confidence.

Due to Amber being a little shy and sensitive, she would benefit from having an area of her own where she can settle and get used to her new home surroundings and noises enabling her to settle at her own pace.

Amber can live with children 12+ and could live with an older calm dog that is used to having cats around.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Adoption fee: £80 If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
