Rehoming – Profile

History:

Andrew came into us as a stray with a horrific leg injury.

Behaviour observations on site:

Andrew may have come into us in lots of pain and discomfort but what an absolute sweetheart he’s been the whole time he’s been in our care. You can’t help but fall in love with this super chilled and affectionate cat.

Andrew has had a lot of staff and veterinary treatment since being with us which has included daily bandage changes by the cattery staff and twice weekly vet check ups. He’s taken it all in his stride and we couldn’t have asked for a better patient. Andrew oozes confidence and will happily pose in his bed all day while you tell him how handsome he is. He just loves being fussed. Now he’s had his bandage removed and his leg is healing well he is staring to have some floor time to get used to using it again.

Andrew can also be quite a cheeky and playful boy.

Andrew can live with children aged 6+ who will be gentle around him and lavish him with the attention he deserves. Andrew could possibly live with another cat with a gradual and controlled introduction.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Medical history:

Andrew is currently learning to put pressure on his injured leg at the moment and may have a slightly abnormal gait. Feeling and nerves are fine and blood supply is good so he shouldn’t have any further issues, though he may not be able to fully contract his toes. Andrew his no other known medical conditions.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Additional information:

Andrew cannot be homed in Southampton and his adoption fee is a minimum donation of £80.
