My Personality

Foster to adopt.

Buddy is the most gorgeous boy you will ever meet. He is so affectionate and just craves human company, he would love his new owners to be around most of the day. He is very content sat on your lap having a cuddle and being stroked. The only time he won’t be on your lap is when it’s dinner time, he certainly likes his food!

Unfortunately Buddy is FIV positive so will need to be an indoor cat. Although he would love to have a secure outdoor ‘catio’ or enclosure that he could go out in to get his vitamin D fix; he often enjoys finding the sunny spot in the cattery to sunbathe in (when there is one!).

FIV cats can lead long and healthy lives but do need to be kept away from other cats, this is to prevent further spread of the virus and to protect them from contracting infection or disease.

Buddy also has gingivostomatitis and has had most of his teeth removed for this reason. He is waiting for surgery to have a few more taken out. This is why we are initially looking for Buddy to be fostered in his new home and then adopted, once cleared, by our veterinary team. Please note at times Buddy will need to come back to the shelter for his dental and check ups. Staff will be able to give your more details about Buddy’s medical history.

Buddy is looking for a home (not a flat) to call his own. He needs to be an only pet and is looking for calm and quiet environment.

Buddy cannot be homed in Portsmouth and his adoption fee is a minimum donation of £80.
