My Personality

Clive and Susan are beautiful cats but haven’t had the best start in life. They have come from a massive multi animal household and it seems they have not had any handling as they are very wary of our intentions. Both cats are incredibly fearful around people and prefer to keep a distance. Clive prefers to spend the day hiding away in the back of his carrier, while Susan likes to be up high and spends most of her day on the light fitting so she can see exactly what’s happening, although she is starting to come down and inside more often, but only if people aren’t about or aren’t too close. However, she is very inquisitive.

We placed a night camera in their unit to see if they spent any time together. It was clear to see that as soon as the lights went off and the cattery was locked up they both spent time together inside their unit and were much more relaxed.

Clive and Susan are used to living in compact conditions and can find new environments scary so it is essential they have their own room that is completely unused to settle in. This might be for weeks or months, until they feel brave enough to explore the rest of the property in a controlled manner, and eventually a fully enclosed garden.

Clive and Jacky need to be only pets in an adult only home to give them the best chance of settling and learning to trust people. It is essential their new owners have experience with challenging cats and will allow them to go at a pace Clive and Susan feel comfortable with.

Clive and Susan cannot be homed in Portchester and their adoption fee is a minimum donation of £140.
