Rehoming – Profile

History:

Delilah came into our care as her owner could no longer look after her.

Behaviour observations on site:

Delilah was a little shy when she first came in and preferred the safety of her carrier. It only took her a few days to settle and she is now keen to show what a sweet little girl she is. Once she gets to know and trust you she is straight out to greet you and doesn’t stop purring! Delilah is quite an affectionate girl but would occasionally give her previous owners a little nip when she’d had enough.

It’s reported in Delilah’s previous home she was full of energy and was happy to run around the house with her owner. We have started introducing toys to her here, although she doesn’t yet play with them she is definitely starting to show some interest in them, especially a feather stick toy. Delilah loves being brushed and it would be beneficial to continue this once settled in her new home to keep her coat looking beautiful.

Delilah has previously lived with other animals and wasn’t keen on them so would be best suited as an only pet. She did get on well with children and can live with children aged 6+ who will be calm around her while she’s settling and won’t try and pick her up or restrain her as she’s really not keen on it.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Medical history:

Delilah has no known medical issues.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Additional information:

Delilah cannot be homed in Southsea and her adoption fee is a minimum donation of £80.
