Rehoming – Profile
Diego came into our care with other rabbits, due to the previous owner no longer being able to look after them.
Behaviour observations on site:
Do you have a single neutered female who could help this timid bachelor come out of his shell?
Diego is a sweet boy who steals the hearts of everyone he meets. Although he can be a little shy at first, he is easy to win over with some food and a little patience.
Along with his extreme love for his veggies Diego has shown how smart he can be whether it’s engaging his brain with his various puzzle feeders and enrichment here at the shelter to recognising his name when called. Diego has shown he can be a very loving boy with those he trusts and will even allow some head strokes once he knows you.
Diego can either be an indoor or outdoor bunny; He will need a rabbit-proof room or a large shed with a run permanently attached (see photo above for an example).
If you are interested in adopting Diego, please fill out an application form below. To help speed up the adoption process, please forward us photos of your setup.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the rabbit.
Diego is castrated, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and has had his teeth checked. He did have some blood tests due to some excessive drinking when he first came in but has had the all clear from the vets and he has no other medical concerns.
