History:
Murray came into us as his owner couldn’t cope and was having ongoing medical issues.
Behaviour observations on site:
Murray came into us as his owner couldn’t cope and was having ongoing medical issues.
Murray is a typical puppy and will need some more basic training and will need to learn that it’s okay to be left in the home. He doesn’t tend to toilet on the inside of his kennel leading us to believe that he is more than likely house trained.
Because Murray can jump up and be boisterous at times if there are children in the household they will need to be used to dogs and be able to join in with the training so that they can manage Murray’s behaviour in a sensible way.
He is a very sweet outgoing boy who loves people and dogs, he can be quite full on as he does get over excited when meeting new people/dogs and can jump up excitedly at people. Out on a walk he can be strong on the lead. We have been doing some loose lead training with Murray and this will need to be continued in the home to ensure he continues to thrive.
Murray is good with other dogs and could live with another pending successful meetings here at the centre. We would recommend a more playful dog who would be tolerant of Murray instigating play. Being a Rottweiler, he is already quite a big boy and will likely fill out a little bit more, so please take his size into consideration.
We would also strongly recommend that he attends puppy classes to help with his training and socialisation.
For an active family who is looking for a loving, excitable, and affectionate dog to complete their household Murray will be the perfect match.
Adoption fee: £180, If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.
Medical history:
Murray is vaccinated and microchipped. As Murray is still growing, he cannot be neutered yet and would need to wait until he is 2 years old. This will be booked in at the Centre nearer the time. This is not an extra charge.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
