Rehoming – Profile
History:
Guinness came into our care as his owner passed away.
Behaviour observations on site:
Guinness is just the most chilled cat ever and he takes everything in his stride. He settled as soon as he came into our care and quickly became a volunteer favourite.
You will often find Guinness curled up snoozing on his favourite thick fleecy blanket. But once you open his unit door he quickly wakes up and is happy led there getting as much fuss as he can. He absolutely adores company and likes to curl up and settle down on a lap. He would love his new owners to be around most of the time.
When Guinness has time out on the floor you will often find him wandering up and down the cattery, occasionally finding a toy to play with which he will have a funny five minutes. Guinness is a very clever boy and enjoys having some of his meals in activities to keep his brain ticking.
Guinness previously lived with one elderly owner and feel an adult only home would suit him perfectly. He needs to be an only pet.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
Medical history:
Guinness is hyperthyroid and is currently on a very low dose of medication for this which he will need to be on for the rest of his life. He eats this well in his food. He will need blood tests every 6 months to check his thyroid level.
Guinness has no other known medical conditions.
4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Additional information:
Guinness cannot be homed in Woolston, Southampton and his adoption fee is £80. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated
