Rehoming – Profile
History:
Jake and Blake came into our care from another charity. Their mum was a pregnant stray. The kittens had fleas, ticks and eye infections.
Behaviour observations on site:
Jake and Blake have been lucky enough to be in a foster home with another charity, until recently coming into our care.
Both boys took a few days to settle in the cattery environment but are growing in confidence every day. Blake is the most confident of the pair and once he feels comfortable with you he’ll enjoy some gentle fuss. Jake will watch to see what’s happening and will then happily receive a stroke or two.
Jake and Blake enjoy playing with some toys and this is a great way to start bringing them out of their shell and building a bond with them. If they’re not playing they’re usually cuddled up together having a snooze. They’re big foodies so this is also a great way to start making friends with them.
As Jake and Blake have been in a couple of new places recently it would be beneficial for them to have their own room just while they settle and build their confidence to prevent them from becoming overwhelmed. It shouldn’t take them too long before they’re ready to explore the rest of the property and eventually a fully enclosed garden.
Jake and Blake could live with teenage children and need to be the only pets.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
Medical history:
Jake and Blake are neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated.
They have no known medical conditions.
4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
