Rehoming – Profile

History:

Kitty came in from a multi cat household where his owner had passed away and a relative was struggling to look after them all.

Behaviour observations on site:

Kitty is such a chilled and easy going boy who doesn’t ask for much. He’s content having a slow amble around the cattery floor and he will check in with you every now and then. He does enjoy some gentle fuss and is often purring. When undisturbed in his unit he is usually curled up in his carrier having a snooze.

Kitty is looking for a calm and quiet home where he has plenty of comfy sleeping spots and all the fuss and attention he deserves when he wants it. He needs to be an only pet and would prefer an adult only home.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Medical history:

Kitty does have arthritis of his spine, he has good days and some not so good days, usually when it’s colder so we give him a little heat pad to help. He is on gabapentin oral liquid in his food twice a day to help with his arthritis which will be lifelong. Kitty will need regular check ups at the vet to ensure he remains on the correct dose that he needs. It has also been advised that Kitty has a renal diet or some medication put into normal wet food that will protect his kidneys. Kitty has no other known medical conditions.

4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Additional information:

Kitty cannot be homed in Millbrook, Southampton and his adoption fee is £80. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated
