Lilo

Name: Lilo

Age: 4 years

Sex: Female

Breed: Jack Russell Terrier

Ref number: 154

Personality:
Lilo is a sweet-natured little terrier, who has unfortunately found herself in kennels due to not getting on with the other resident dog. Lilo is finding kennels quite scary but her confidence is growing everyday. This little lady loves to curl up on your lap and have cuddles.

Behaviour:
Although Lilo is generally a nervous dog, she warms up very quickly to people. She enjoys a gentle fuss if you sit on the floor with her and has formed some really close bonds with the staff. Because Lilo is nervous we are looking for a quiet, experienced home who can allow her plenty of time to settle in. She has previously lived with another dog but found sharing resources such as food and attention challenging. She generally gets on well with other dogs outside of the house but will need to be the only dog in the home with no visiting dogs either.

Housing:
Lilo will need someone at home with her all day initially so she can build up trust and confidence. Once she has settled we are confident Lilo will be happy to be left for short periods (up to 4 hours).

Children/pets:
Lilo could live with children of secondary school age. She cannot live with any other animals due to her high prey drive and cannot be rehomed with another dog.

Vet history:
Lilo is up to date with flea, worming and vaccinations. She will need to be returned to the shelter to be spayed once she has settled. Lilo has a luxating patella (kneecap) on the hind left leg but she is currently showing no clinical signs, more information can be given on request.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
