Rehoming – Profile
History:
Oliver came into our care as his owner could no longer look after him.
Behaviour observations on site:
Oliver is a big boy who has a lot of love to give. It didn’t take him long to settle at all before he was giving your hand a strong headbutt and demanding lots of fuss and attention. He never wants you to stop and is always purring. Oliver can be a little lazy and isn’t really interested in playing, he would rather sit and watch the world go by while being adored. He would benefit from a home he can learn to be active in to shift some excess weight he’s carrying.
Even though Oliver acts like he’s this brave boy he can be a little wary of new situations/environments. He is a lot more confident in his outside run rather than the cattery floor. For this reason he would benefit from a quiet room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property and eventually a fully enclosed garden.
Oliver has shown a strong dislike to other cats while being in the cattery so would be best suited as an only pet. He can live with children aged 8+ who will be gentle with him
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
Medical history:
Oliver has no known medical conditions although he is slightly overweight. He is currently on a weightloss diet which would be beneficial to be continued in his new home.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Additional information:
Oliver cannot be homed in Winchester and his adoption fee is a minimum donation of £80.
