My Personality
Timmy is a really sweet boy who came into our care after he found it difficult to cope in his previous home environment. Timmy was used to living in a busy household with lots of people around, however he was presenting signs of stress and anxiety at times in this situation. Timmy seems to become attached quickly to one person in the household and would therefore benefit from a smaller family (2-3 members maximum) with limited visitors initially. Timmy will need a good daily routine to help him settle into his new home, and will need to learn that it’s ok to be left alone. Timmy has also shown signs of resource guarding in the home environment, so new owners will need to be experienced and know how to deal with this situation. New owners may need the help of a behaviourist with this, we can offer support initially. Timmy gets on well with other dogs here at the shelter but due to his behaviour in his previous home we feel he would settle quicker being the only dog at first. He can however live with dog-savvy cats. Timmy has bitten in his previous home, please speak with staff regarding this event.
Cannot be rehomed to Havant or Paulsgrove.
