Rehoming – Profile
History:
Victor came into us as unfortunately his owner passed away.
Behaviour observations on site:
When Victor came into our care it was reported that he was semi-feral. Despite his ‘rough and ready’ look it didn’t take us long to see he’s actually a really loving and affectionate boy.
He loves being stroked and will happily head butt your hand to encourage you to carry on if you happen to stop giving him the attention he wants. He will occasionally step onto your lap to be closer to you but at the moment he doesn’t settle down.
Victor isn’t the most playful cat but does occasionally have a funny 5 minutes where he enjoys chasing a laser pen and rolling around in catnip which sends him a bit silly and dribbly.
Victor tries to act like a big brave man but he does get a little spooked by loud noises and sudden movements so needs a calm and predictable home where he is the only pet, he can possibly live with children aged 12+. We’re unsure of how much home life Victor has had so things like hoovers, washing machines etc may need to be introduced sensitively. He would benefit from having an unused room to use for the first few days as when he’s out on the cattery floor he does often go back to his unit to check in as he sees this as his safe and familiar space.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
Medical history:
Victor has no know medical conditions.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Additional information:
Victor cannot be homed in Havant and his adoption fee is a minimum donation of £80.
