Name: Cara
Age: 5 years
Sex: Female
Breed: Labrador Retriever x Akita
Ref number: 109

Personality:
Cara is a playful, friendly girl who likes other dogs and loves her food which makes training a dream. She would make a fantastic family dog and in her foster home has been going to cafes and to watch football practice and she will settle calmly at your feet when out and about, she is great at getting in and out of the car so is the kind of dog you could take anywhere with you. She is also great with children.

Behaviour:
Cara struggles to settle when left alone and can vocalise, so will need someone to be with her all the time and our behaviour team will provide advice on how to slowly introduce her to being left for longer periods. She is however able to sleep downstairs in her foster home and can settle away from her human friends and doesn’t need to follow them everywhere when in the home.

Housing:
Cara would need a home with a private garden with 6ft fencing. She would benefit from living in an active home where she can go on lots of adventures. She cannot be rehomed to the St Albans area.

Children/pets:
Cara can live with children of primary school age and above who are used to living with dogs, interactions must be supervised at all times. Although she could have dog friends outside the home we are looking for a home with no other dogs for her. She can not live with cats as she would chase them.

Vet history:
Cara has been spayed and is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment.
