Name: Gabe
Age: 6 years approx
Sex: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Ref number: 33

Personality:
Gabe came into our care as a stray with a nasty cat bite abscess on face, through out all his treatment here he has remained an absolutely sweetheart. Gabe has quickly become a staff and volunteer favourite and is affectionately known as ‘Gabe the Babe’.

Behaviour:
Gabe is a calm and gentle boy who prefers the comfort and safety of his carrier but this doesn’t stop him getting all the fuss and attention he craves. He adores being stroked, especially having his cheeks tickled and will roll on his side, purring, and paddy pawing in the air with happiness. Gabe loves his treats so this is a great way to initially make friends and encourage him out of his carrier.

Housing:
Gabe does prefer the safety of his carrier, so for this reason he will need his own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. He cannot be homed in Gosport (PO12 area).

Children/pets:
Gabe needs to be an only pet and can live with older aged secondary school children who will be quiet and gentle while he settles as he is quite noise sensitive.

Vet history:
Gabe is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. His second vaccination is due between 01/04/25 – 08/04/25 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Gabe’s wound has healed very well and he has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Additional information:
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
