RSPCA Solent Branch CIO (known as RSPCA The Ark) is an independent branch of the RSPCA, and a separately registered charity.

We are responsible for raising all our own funds to keep our animal centre, The Stubbington Ark, up and running.

It costs approximately £1.4 million per year to operate the RSPCA Solent Branch CIO.

Let your love live on

Approximately 50% of our income comes from legacy and gift in wills donations. These are a lifeline for us, and we would not be able to carry out our crucial animal welfare work without this generous support.

You can leave a legacy by making a will or by adding a Codicil. If you’re making a will, please remember that the RSPCA Solent Branch CIO is a separately registered charity. You can write your will for free with The Goodwill Partnership, read on below for more information.

So, if you would like our work to benefit animals in your local area, we would respectfully suggest that your legacy reads:

I give the sum of £… (or specify a share of residue) to the RSPCA Solent Branch CIO, Registered Charity Number 1208430, for its general purpose and I declare that the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer of the said Branch, for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for said legacy.

Legacies play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable animals in the Hampshire. In recent years, legacies have supported:

The purchase of two brand new, modular small animal units.

Provided rehabilitation, food, and toys for the animals in our care.

The build of a new, modern cattery, that allows us to double our intake of cats.

Created in 2009 specifically to support the UK charity sector, The Goodwill
Partnership now works with more than 150 UK charity partners, providing its

TGP provides a unique free Home-Visit appointment service to all postcodes in England and Wales.  Our friendly trained staff will visit you at home and carefully take your Will instructions.

Your Will is then drafted, checked by one of our inhouse solicitors, who are regulated by SRA and The Law Society, before sending the Will to you for witnessing and signing.  For additional convenience, TGP also offers Video and Phone appointments.

Donate in memory of a loved one

If you’ve lost someone who had a lifelong love of animals, you can honour their memory with an in-memoriam donation to RSPCA Solent Branch CIO.

This is a kind gift to commemorate their life, and to let their love of animals live on.

Your donation will be used to rehabilitate and care for vulnerable animals at our centre.

For more information about in-memoriam donations please contact: beccidenizhan@rspcasolent.org.uk.
